Monica’s Fine Foods resulted from a pleasure trip to Southern Italy. My friend Frank’s family lives in Southern Italy and he visits them every year. In 2009, after receiving invitations for over 25 years, Monica met up with him in Lamezia Terme, Italy and he proudly introduced her to the beaches and monastery of the area. Then Frank took her to meet the Fratelli-Davoli family. He did not realize the impact this meeting would have on all their lives! Over there, surrounded by olive trees and grape vines, Monica met the Fratelli-Davoli family and tasted extra virgin olive oil from their family farm. The taste was so unique that Monica had to share it with the world!

Back in the US, the entire family took on the task of introducing fellow Americans to the rich flavor and buttery taste of Davoli extra virgin olive oil. We did a double blind taste test with friends familiar with local and European olive oils and Davoli stood out hands down! They loved it. The smooth taste that convinced Monica got new olive oil converts outside of Italy!
